Ricciardi Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cornhuskers
The DeKalb Cornhuskers outlasted Jack Zapor and the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 8-7. Zapor was impressive in the loss. The Fraser Valley designated hitter went 3 for 7 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. DeKalb, now 8-4, has played well in the early going.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when DeKalb third baseman Luis Ricciardi, facing Michael Burman, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cornhuskers the 8-7 win.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Eduardo Varerla.
