Black Knights Drop Islanders with Late Score

The Brooklyn Black Knights dealt the Hawaii Islanders a 5-4 loss at Aloha Stadium. Nobuhisa Ito was the star on offense. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Brooklyn reliever Mike MacInroy picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Bernalldo Rocchi absorbed the loss. Ti-an Dan earned the save for Brooklyn, his 4th.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from shortstop Tony Gómez. For the game, Gómez went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 5-4 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Gómez told the Brooklyn Gazette.
The Black Knights bumped their record to 19-15 with this latest triumph.
