Spartans Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
Long Island first baseman Ken Cashmann pounded Sandy Springs Spartans pitchers at Long Island Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Ducks from falling, 12-9. Cashmann slugged 2 home runs. The Spartans, now 3-6, have not found much traction so far in 2033.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hosokawa told reporters after the game.
