The Madison Beehive relied on the hitting of center fielder Dermott Glennon to stop the Carson City Mustang, 7-6. For the game, Glennon was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Madison starter Gilberto Vega was credited with the win after throwing 117 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The Beehive keep rolling, raising their record to 5-3.
Glennon contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing triple, for Madison in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-4, Glennon took a fastball from Tony Flores and stroked the triple to left-center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Beehive to leap in front, 7-5.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Madison manager Quinn Patrick.
