With second baseman Chris Werner leading the charge, the Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Portland Beavers, 9-3, at Sick's Stadium. Werner hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Seattle, at 14-22, occupies 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

Werner had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Sasquatch went on to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Werner told the Seattle Daily News.
