Monarchs Walk It Off for 5th Win of Season
The Marysville Monarchs defeated the Atlantic City Enforcers, 7-6, at Mitts Fieldhouse today. Leading the charge for Marysville was right fielder Cristián Rojas. He went 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Marysville reliever Bing-de Ku picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Doug Durham was collared with the loss. Marysville, now 5-1, has played well in the early going.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Frank Nicholson, hit a double. It helped Marysville seize the win.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Marysville field general Jorge Magana.
