The Madison Beehive defeated the Carson City Mustang, 14-5, at The Hive today. Leading the charge for Madison was left fielder Oscar Abreu. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Madison reliever Seung-min Ohng picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Raúl Lugo was collared with the loss. Earning his 1st save of the year was Seisaburo Sasaki.

David Rivera had a big run-scoring double for the Beehive in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Madison trailing 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a circle change from Raúl Lugo and stroked the double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beehive ahead, 4-3.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Madison manager Quinn Patrick.

The win gives Madison a record of 3-3.
