Beetlecats Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
Buzzard's Bay catcher Juan Cruz had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Newark Jail Birds, 7-6. Dimitri Jourdan got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. Getting the save was Ji-hwan Yea, his 2nd.

The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from left fielder Jesús Montero. For the game, Montero was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 3-0 lead.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Montero.

Losses have been few and far between for the Jail Birds so far this season. Their record drops to 4-1.
