The Cincinnati Snaps picked up a win at The Studio, knocking off the Madison Beehive, 7-4. Starting pitcher Diego Castro, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Castro went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0. The win lifts Cincinnati to a record of 2-2.
Greg Bova aided the Cincinnati cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bova told the Cincinnati Chronicle.
