Youngstown designated hitter Miguel Pacheco had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Boise at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Pacheco was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI. Boise reliever José Garza picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Keisaburo Kanada absorbed the loss. Boise is now 1-1.
The Hawks got a big at-bat from left fielder Joe Coleman. For the game, Coleman went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Boise a 7-5 lead.
