Blazers Get Past San Francisco for 4-3 Win
|
Well, that's how to end a game in style.
The Blazers had to overcome a good performance from San Francisco pitcher Noriyuki Ikeda to claim a 4-3 win at Arson Arena. Ikeda went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Blazers, now 22-12, have won 4 in a row.
Arnold Layne was the walk-off hero for Bloomington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blazers right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said San Francisco manager Joe Ward.
