Rats Prevail, 6-4, Over DeKalb
|
The Rock River Rats ushered in the 2033 season with a win versus the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Rat Hole. The final score was 6-4. Right Fielder Tucker Slade, who was drafted in the three round of the 2030 draft, was named player of the game. Kang-il Hyong picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 6 in 6.1 innings. Josh Hunt earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
The Rats got a big at-bat from shortstop Jesus Rosendo. For the game, Rosendo went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Rock River a 4-3 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Rosendo. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
