The Argonauts had to overcome a fine performance from Antioch pitcher Matsuyo Koda to grab a 3-2 win at The Coal Mine. Koda allowed 3 earned runs over 9 innings. Jeff Schwartz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-3. Matsuyo Koda was tagged with the loss. Carlos Alonzo earned his 26th save in 30 chances.

Thomas Bernard helped out the Astoria cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a double.

Bernard called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

With the win, Astoria goes to 82-80, while the Coal Miners fall to 94-67.
