Freeze Slip Past Reno, 4-3
|
The Freeze had to overcome a good performance from Reno pitcher Eduardo Marino to claim a 4-3 win at House of Pain. Marino went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Minneapolis reliever Pedro García picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Mei-shan Huang was saddled with the loss. The Freeze move to 85-77 with the win, while the Raiders drop to 81-81.
Bill Kremer had a nice at-bat for the Freeze with no one out in the top of the tenth. With a runner on 1st, the catcher got hit by a pitch, which would prove important in the Minneapolis win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kremer.
