The Scranton Escape downed the Chicago Titans, 10-2, at Hell Stadium. The Escape were led by Zachary Palethorpe, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Guo-quiang Zhào picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 10-14. José Berrios got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
The Escape got a big at-bat from third baseman Carlos Ortega. For the game, Ortega was 1-5. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 72nd hit of the season gave Scranton a 2-1 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Ortega told the Scranton Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
