Martin hits 2 home runs, Bombers Move to 19-11
|
The South Carolina Bombers beat the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-3, at Bomber Ballpark. South Carolina designated hitter Lonnie Martin earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Daryl Wyles in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Su-gyung Park took the loss. The Toreros fall to 11-20 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2033 season.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Martin hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Bombers into the lead, 3-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Martin. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
