It was a fun time at The Firepit, where the Reno Raiders and Joplin Fireballs tangled.

The Joplin Fireballs defeated the Reno Raiders, 4-1, in Darryl Kile League action at The Firepit, with Joplin pitcher Carlos Mendoza named player of the game. Joplin now sits at 72-86, while Reno falls to 79-80.

Mendoza's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Mendoza, who leads the DKL with a 16 quality starts, goes to 14-13 on the year with 137 strikeouts.
