The Aeropostales faced a stiff challenge from Canton pitcher Leonard Lee, but persevered to claim a win at Stars Field. The final score was 4-3. Lee went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Indian Wells reliever Takanibu Masuda was the winner. His record is now 6-4. Luis Marés took the loss. Kevin Spurr was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 43 of 51 save opportunities.
Indian Wells took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, shortstop Pramana Djambek hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Indian Wells manager Mario Perez. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Aeropostales bumped their record to 82-76 with this latest triumph.
