Scranton first baseman Il-hwan Kim had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-3, to Silver Lake at Ashton Gate. Kim went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Silver Lake reliever Joe Hutchins was the winner. His record is now 7-2. José Berrios took the loss. The Escape, at 68-90, have lost 4 straight games.
The Baristas got a big at-bat from first baseman Satoshi Iijima. For the game, Iijima was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Silver Lake a 2-0 lead.
