Caterpillars Deal Kodiaks Painful Loss

Alan Gorringe never let Calgary get something going. The Peoria right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Caterpillars to a 2-1 win. Adam Stickells picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-3. Harsha Majoo was tagged with the loss. Peoria is now 74-83, Calgary 69-87.
The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from left fielder Hua Dun. For the game, Dun went 1 for 2. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Peoria a 2-1 lead.
"This place was jumping at the end," Gorringe said.
