Republic Win Streak Now at 7

The So Cal Republic beat the Portland Beavers, 7-4, at Waterfront Park. So Cal center fielder Shadi bin Mufeed earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Kalyanavarman Nagaraj got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings. Pin-zhen Au earned the save, his 12th, for the Republic.
bin Mufeed had a key at-bat for So Cal early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was his 15th hit of the season and gave So Cal an early 3-1 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said bin Mufeed. "And not try to do too much."
The Beavers fall to 14-19 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2033 season.
