The Albuquerque Cacti downed the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 7-2, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The Cacti were led by Munoto Okuta, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Albuquerque reliever Dan Thompson picked up the win, bumping his record to 16-8. John Faivre was collared with the loss. Albuquerque leads the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division by 18 games.
Dan Weston hit a 2-run double off John Faivre in the bottom of the third, which put the Cacti in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Weston had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Okuta.
