Escape Come Back Late, Nip Banditos

The Scranton Escape downed the Acapulco Banditos, 7-6, at Underdogs Ballpark. The Escape were led by José Tobías, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Escape saw their win-loss record go to 68-86. At the same time, the Banditos fell to 62-93.
Zachary Palethorpe hit a 2-run double off Khalid Legras in the top of the eighth, which put the Escape in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Palethorpe had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Acapulco manager Salvador López. "But we decided not to take it."
