Titans Come Up Short at Fairfield
|
Fairfield rode a decent outing from starter Yeong-suk Kim to victory over the Chicago Titans at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The final score was 3-2. Paul Calamy got the save, his 12th in 13 chances. Fairfield is now 101-54, 21 games up in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division.
Barry Huffman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances. He drove in 2 runs for Fairfield. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Paul Murat. It was his 31st RBI of the season.
"Yeong-suk was throwing free and easy," said Fairfield manager Gary Altman.
