The Acapulco Banditos topped the Scranton Escape, 4-3, in Nick Adenhart League action at Underdogs Ballpark. The player of the game was Acapulco pitcher and Gibsonton, Florida native Travis Smith. Aubert Licci notched his 6th save in 11 chances.

The Banditos got a big at-bat from center fielder Tony Hayes. For the game, Hayes was 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 62nd hit of the season gave Acapulco a 2-1 lead.

Hayes told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
