The Reno Raiders topped the Detroit Death Stars by the score of 5-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Ramón Dolit. Dolit was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for the Raiders on the day. The win was Mei-shan Huang's in relief. His record improves to 3-7. Kent Whitten took the loss for Detroit. The Raiders go to 75-79, putting them 4th in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.

Ken Donovan was the walk-off hero for Reno. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Raiders right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
