Luis Gonzáles did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Minneapolis Freeze from losing, 9-8, to the Omaha Raptors at The Ice Box. Gonzáles went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Edmundo Luas, credited with the save, is now 4 for 6 in save opportunities. The second-place Raptors raised their record to 81-70.

Marcos Ortíz aided the Omaha cause with a bases-clearing triple in the top of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Ortíz, "but we got it done."
