Jesús Ortíz had a good game, but he could not keep the Canton Paczkis from falling, 10-6, to the Vancouver Canadians at Stanley Park. The Canton first baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 in the loss. The Canadians bumped their record to 77-74 with this latest triumph.
Phil Kinch aided the Vancouver cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Kinch said.
