Banditos Win in Extras
|
The Silver Lake Baristas got a superb performance from right fielder Chris McNair. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Acapulco. The Banditos won the game, 8-7. In spite of the loss, McNair was named the player of the game. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Aubert Licci got credit for the win, improving to 6-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The last-place Banditos raised their record to 58-90.
Anson Aubry hit a run-scoring double off Bernardino Pacheco in the top of the tenth, which put the Banditos in front, 8-7. In addition to the double, Aubry had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"I like our resilience," said Aubry.
