Eureka starter Pat Sheffield pitched effectively against the Quebec Armada at The Nest. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. In 8 innings, Sheffield surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Elliott Rogers recorded the save for Eureka, his 6th of the season.

With two out in the bottom of the second, Wayne Ford stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 29th hit of the season and put Eureka in front, 2-0.

After the game, Eureka manager Stephen Jackson applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

The Armada fall to 14-16 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
