Raptors Roll to 8-2 Win Over Death Stars
|
Omaha turned a good effort from starter Harold Hayne into a win over the Detroit Death Stars at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The final score was 8-2. The winning pitcher was Hayne, now 12-8. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. The second-place Raptors have won 4 consecutive games.
José Salas aided the Omaha cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"Enjoyed this one," Salas told the Omaha Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
