The Scranton Escape beat the Fairfield Flash, 10-9, at Hell Stadium. Scranton second baseman Zachary Palethorpe earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Reliever Rino Nitisastro picked up the win. His record improves to 4-11. Paul Calamy took the loss. The 5th-place Escape improved to 66-81.

Palethorpe had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 2-2 fastball from Paul Calamy, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Escape a 10-9 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Palethorpe.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Palethorpe said.
