It was a good time at Phantoms Field, where fans came to watch the Acapulco Banditos and Coronado Phantoms get after it.

The Coronado Phantoms defeated the Acapulco Banditos, 7-5. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Leonard Wright, who slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Roberto Mejía picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Lonnie Young was tagged with the loss.

The Phantoms got a big at-bat from shortstop Isao Tanaka. For the game, Tanaka went 3-5 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 104th hit of the season gave Coronado a 5-4 lead.

"We played hard and won," said Wright. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
