Caterpillars Continue Skid Thanks to Santiago, Death Stars
It was a fun time at The Death Star, where the Peoria Caterpillars and Detroit Death Stars tangled.

Rico Santiago led Detroit to a win over Peoria. The final score was 14-5. Santiago scored 2 times, while going 4 for 4. The left fielder also was credited with 4 RBI. Detroit reliever Brad Ross picked up the win to move to 12-4. Masuhiro Miyazaki suffered the loss.

The Death Stars got a big at-bat from center fielder Alex Munoz. For the game, Munoz was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 17th hit of the season gave Detroit a 7-5 lead.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Santiago told the Detroit Daily. "It's as simple as that."

This win makes it 5 in a row for Detroit.
