Ottinger Lifts Bombers to 8-2 Triumph
Bronx shortstop Bill Ottinger had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Minneapolis Freeze, 8-2. Trey Robinson earned the win for Bronx. He lasted 5 innings, allowing no earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 3-6. Wilber Matthews, credited with the save, is now 1 for 4 in save opportunities.

Ottinger had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bombers went on to win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ottinger told the Bronx Citizen.
