Bowling Green catcher Ramón Medina played a vital role in his team's 7-1 triumph over Omaha. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Bowling Green. Bowling Green reliever Tony Nájera picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Michiomi Moteki was collared with the loss. Curt Woods notched his 4th save in 5 chances.
Xiao-xuan Zhou, who is tied for 4th in the NAL in bases on balls with 105, aided the Bowling Green cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a walk.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Zhou told reporters after the game.
The Racers' win now puts them at 77-69.
