Raptors Lose, 5-2, at Top of the Hill
|
Bowling Green Racers starter Vincente Cerni turned in a top-notch performance against the Omaha Raptors at Top of the Hill. The result was a win for the Racers, 5-2. The Racers bumped their record to 76-69 with this latest triumph.
Tim Beeman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Bowling Green. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Harold Hayne. It was his 2nd walk of the season.
"I thought we played a nice game," Beeman told the Bowling Green Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
