Blazers Come Back Late, Nip Earthquakes
|
The Blazers had to overcome a good performance from San Francisco pitcher Edgardo Sáenz to claim a 2-1 win at Arson Arena. Sáenz went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Paco Berroa recorded the save for Bloomington, his 9th of the season. The Earthquakes fall to 13-19 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
Jack Morris drew 1 walk for Bloomington. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Kunihiko Mizuno. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"Runs were at a premium," said Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez.
