|
Rico Santiago was instrumental in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Canton Paczkis. The second baseman was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Detroit Death Stars. Detroit reliever Brad Ross was the winner. His record is now 11-4. Eduardo Diadoni took the loss. The first-place Death Stars, at 77-66, now lead their division by 2 games.
Yan Rossi aided the Detroit cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3.
When asked about his performance after the game, Rossi said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
