The Fort Worth Cats faced a tough opponent in Bronx pitcher Mike Tyson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bronx Ballpark by a final score of 5-4. Tyson went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Cats bumped their record to 73-68 with this latest triumph.

The Cats got a big at-bat from third baseman Shimpei Fujita. For the game, Fujita went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Fort Worth a 5-4 lead.

"I was a little disappointed," said Bronx manager Weston Papenfuss. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
