Canadians Win at Detroit, 5-2
|
The Vancouver Canadians got a stellar performance from pitcher Wilson Polk, who handcuffed the Detroit offense en route to a 5-2 win at The Death Star. The Canadians bumped their record to 73-68 with this latest triumph.
José Rodríguez chipped in for Vancouver with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Vancouver skipper Arinori Nakamura.
