Scotti Scannell did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Albuquerque Cacti from losing, 7-4, to the Peoria Caterpillars at Excavatar Park. Scannell went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The third-place Caterpillars improved to 69-72.
The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from third baseman Chris Bramel. For the game, Bramel went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Peoria a 3-1 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Bramel said.
