Paczkis Prevail, 7-5, Over Omaha

Matsu Miyazaki did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Omaha Raptors from losing, 7-5, to the Canton Paczkis at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Miyazaki went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tom Cropper earned the win to go to 5-1. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 2 strikeouts. P.J. Ross was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 32 save opportunities.
The Paczkis got a big at-bat from designated hitter Shihi Nakashima. For the game, Nakashima went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 10th hit of the season gave Canton a 2-1 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Nakashima.
The 5th-place Paczkis lifted their record to 68-71.
