Getting a good performance from first baseman Il-hwan Kim, the Scranton Escape defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 3-2. Kim went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles for the Escape. Robert Cook earned his 5th save in 8 chances. Their 59-78 record puts the Escape 5th in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division.

Kim had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 curveball from Mike Horswill, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Escape a 3-2 lead. It was the 91st hit of the year for Kim.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kim told the Scranton Chronicle.
