Raptors Stymie Billings, Take 5-1 Win
|
Getting a good performance from first baseman Landen Jarman, the Omaha Raptors defeated the Billings Mustangs, 5-1. Jarman was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Raptors. Edmundo Luas earned his 2nd save in 4 chances. The Raptors bumped their record to 73-65 with this latest triumph.
Jarman contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Omaha in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Jarman took a changeup from Barnabé Bacm and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Raptors to leap in front, 2-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Jarman told the Omaha Bulletin.
