Racers Win at Canton, 3-1
|
Mckinley Park was the site of a competitive game between the Canton Paczkis and Bowling Green Racers.
The Bowling Green Racers defeated the Canton Paczkis, 3-1, in Nick Adenhart League action at Mckinley Park, with Bowling Green pitcher Masamichi Takeda named player of the game. Takeda, the winner, moves to 4-10. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk.
Sam Lynch aided the Bowling Green cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Canton skipper Omar Arteaga, "and it cost us."
The Racers bumped their record to 73-66 with this latest triumph.
