Vancouver and Chicago got after it at The War Dome.

The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Chicago Titans, 5-1, at The War Dome. Vancouver left fielder Jung-tae Ko was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Wilson Polk, credited with the win, is now 8-6. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 5 innings.

Ko had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fourth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Canadians went on to win.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Vancouver manager Arinori Nakamura. "It's usually not just one thing."

The third-place Canadians improved to 69-67.
