Freeze Score Late to Upend Mustangs, 2-0
|
Minneapolis and Billings duked it out at Cobb Field and the Freeze came out victorious.
The Billings Mustangs got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Sánchez, but the Minneapolis Freeze still won the game, 2-0. Sánchez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. Curt Hart got the save, his 6th in 8 chances.
The Freeze got a big at-bat from shortstop T.J. Little. For the game, Little went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-0 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Little.
Minneapolis now has a 3-game win streak.
