Though he had a great game, Paul Rice could not single-handedly produce a win for Bowling Green. Albuquerque won the game, 4-2. Rice was named the player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Albuquerque reliever Guo-xiu Du picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Luis Rodríguez shouldered the loss. The first-place Cacti, at 86-48, now lead their division by 17˝ games.

Joe Dolinger aided the Albuquerque cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Albuquerque manager Tom Robertson.
