Fairfield catcher Ernie Horswill made his presence felt in the 12-10 Flash triumph over the Bronx Bombers. Horswill went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Fairfield reliever Royce Leveque was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Wilber Matthews took the loss. The Flash bumped their record to 88-42 with this latest triumph.

The Flash got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Afellan Kalamka. For the game, Kalamka went 1 for 1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Fairfield a 11-9 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Horswill told reporters after the game.
